'Should we get married on that island over there?'
The Details
The ceremony is set to take place on Tuesday, 25 November 2025 at 2pm on Tangalooma. However, we'd love you to join us for the celebrations a day prior and a day after.
Here's a rough outline of our plan:
Monday 24 November
- 9am-onwards - Guest arrivals to Tangalooma Resort
- Beach hangouts and greetings throughout the day
- 6pm - Optional pre-wedding dinner at Tangalooma Resort
Tuesday 25 November
- 2pm - Wedding ceremony
- 3pm-530pm - Afternoon champagne on the beach and time to prepare for reception
- 530pm-onwards - Reception at upstairs Sunset Bar
Wednesday 26 November
- 9am-onwards - Optional beach day recovery outside of Deep Blue apartments
- 10am-onwards - Guest checkout and departure
Travel & Accommodation
Let's get you to the island!
Accommodation wise, there is a minimum 2 night stay (we suggest Monday and Tuesday night).
We'd recommend booking sooner rather than later to secure your ideal spot.
There is a 20% discount for guests staying in hotel standard, hotel deluxe, resort unit and family suite accommodation (for those that have been before, this is K block and B/C block apartments).

Tip: Since many of the rooms sleep more than 2 people, booking with another wedding group is a great option.
Whilst booking accommodation, you will also be able to book ferry transfers to and from the island.
The ferry leaves from 220 Holt Street, Pinkenba QLD 4008 and goes straight to Tangalooma.
The available boat times are as follows:
Travel Option 1 (Recommended)
Option: Arriving Monday, staying Monday and Tuesday night, leaving Wednesday.
- Monday 24 November 2025: Leave Brisbane 10am, arrive at island 11:30am, check in at 2pm, stay the night.
- Tuesday 25 November 2025: Wedding ceremony 2pm, reception 530pm-onwards, stay the night.
- Wednesday 26 November 2025: Recovery 9am, check-out 10am, beach until lunch, depart the island at 2:30pm.
Travel Option 2
Option: Arriving Tuesday, staying Tuesday and Wednesday night, leaving Thursday.
- Tuesday 25 November 2025: Leave Brisbane 10am, arrive at island 11:30am, wedding ceremony at 2pm (conflicts with check-in at 2pm), reception 530pm-onwards, stay the night.
- Wednesday 26 November 2025: Recovery 9am, beach until lunch, stay the night.
- Thursday 27 November 2025: Check-out early, depart the island 9:30am.

The party is for all ages, so please if you have children and intend on bringing them, include them in the RSVP list.

What to Wear
Beach casual. You can see an example on Pinterest (jackets and long pants optional) or see this guide on The Knot.
Wear something you wouldn't mind getting sand on and can easily take your shoes off.
Something that makes you feel fun, comfortable and whimsical.
Nothing too formal but we'd like you to look nice.
Colours and patterns are a big plus, a couple of examples:
- A nice coloured (or white) linen shirt and shorts.
- Or a colourful summer dress.
Gifts
We think it's very kind of you to already be coming to such a special location for us.
However, if you'd like to offer even more kindness in the form of a gift, we're honoured.
Since we'll be travelling to and from an island we won't have the capacity to transport physical gifts.
So there will be a wishing well.
After moving in together, we've realized we've got too much gear.
Like your local markets, cash is king.
FAQ
What should I wear?
We're going with a beach casual theme. Think fun, light, and breezy. No need for black ties, but something a little special. Sand-friendly footwear (shoes you can easily take on and off) encouraged.
Is there Wi-Fi or reception on the island?
Yes, but expect island speeds. Best to soak in the sun and disconnect a bit if you can.
Can I stay more/less nights?
There is a 2 night minimum stay. Booking is advised for 24/11/2025 -> 26/11/2025, however, feel free to stay longer if you like.
What should I bring?
Swimsuits, your party spirit and shirt, and anything you’d bring for a relaxed beach trip. If you must bring a gift, make it cash or something easy to transport on and off an island.
Do I need to organise transport?
Yes, you'll need to book the ferry via the same link as your accommodation. Details are on the Travel section of this page.
